CLARE NOWELL COACHING
SEND (special educational needs and disabilities)
Do you feel...
- overwhelmed with responsibility and not know where to turn
- unsupported, unsure and alone
- life is just not fair for me or my child
- do you have a sense of loosing you and only being identified as your child’s mother
If any of the above statements ring true for you - or even make you pause to think, I could help you.
My coaching will enable you to voice your feelings, be listened to without judgement, build resilience and work out the path ahead, both for you and for your dependant.

SERVICES | SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities):
my own personal experience
As a mother of a son with special needs I have experienced all the above (sometimes all in the same week!). From my own personal experience, I feel that there is not enough emotional support offered for parents of SEND children / adults. We are a special workforce; we can’t decide if we don’t like the job to look for something else (and of course we wouldn’t) but sometimes we get lost in the special needs world and forget to look after our own wellbeing.
My son is now 21 years old and, along my journey with him, I have experienced moments of joy, sadness, frustration, worry, guilt, anger, exhaustion, delight and loneliness. Looking back and knowing now what personal coaching offers, I would have benefitted hugely from working with a coach. This why I am particularly passionate about offering coaching to those caring for individuals – be they adults or children- with special needs.

testimonials:
"With Clare's help I stopped and looked around at where I was, then with Clare's help, I took some obvious steps in a more positive direction. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? However, I wouldn't have seen those obvious steps without Clare's help."
Jenny - High Wycombe
"I found the coaching session with Clare incredibly helpful. To start with it was reassuring to know that, due to her own experience, she could immediately relate to being a mother of a SEND child. This meant that I didn't have to over-explain or put context around things I wanted to discuss - she just got it immediately. For me this level of understanding made a big difference and I also appreciated that she was able to genuinely empathise. I found Clare to be calm, relaxed and easy to talk to and flexible in her approach.
During our session Clare helped me pinpoint some of the key things I was struggling with and, more importantly, identify some strategies to help me deal with and overcome them going forward. It turned out that I actually I had all the answers but I needed Clare to help me find them!"

Focusing on helping you work to find solutions to things you may struggle with, she will be your greatest encourager! I had literally been at my lowest with my mental health, but having sessions with Clare and making changes to my life, I now recognize the confident person I used to be, rising up and being stronger than before. I cannot thank Clare enough for all of her support!"
